I have actually done quite a lot more of the drawing since taking the photo earlier. I had to take the photo in daylight to get a good image. Here are a few of the photos that I took on a visit to the Yeguada Cartuja in Andalucia. 

THE ORIGINS OF THE MONASTERY AND THE STUD

Since its founding in the late fifteenth century, the Carthusian monastery becomes a cornerstone of the Jerez horse breeding. For three centuries, coinciding with the heyday of the kingdom of Spain, the Carthusian monks are a stud that will eventually become one of the most famous and appreciated in the world. His diligent work livestock, seated around the splendid Renaissance building in the unique setting of weather and fertility, where there are also universals Sherry was interrupted at the beginning of the nineteenth century, because of the War of Independence coincided with the years of splendor in Spain and, consequently, their horses.

Su esmerada labor ganadera, asentada en torno al espléndido edificio renacentista y en el marco excepcional de clima y fertilidad, donde también se crían los universales vinos de Jerez, se ve interrumpida a inicios del Siglo XIX, a causa de la guerra de la Independencia y coincidió con los años de esplendor de España y, en consecuencia, de sus caballos.
