Day 80 - Zebra (horse gone wrong!)

Title: Zebra (horse gone wrong!!)
Price: £40.00 (includes postage within UK, for other destinations please contact me)
Medium: Oil on board.
Size: 17cm x 16cm

Ok so I must make it quite clear from the outset that this was not a “serious” painting! I was painting a grey horse from life at the weekend and failing dismally and one of my friends said – it would be better as a zebra and so……. with no idea of where a zebra’s stripes go I just started adding some dark lines! When I knew the picture wasn’t working as a horse I thought I would just have a bit of fun to cheer up the afternoon by doing this!! So please, don’t make comments about how the stripes are in the wrong places or the conformation is wrong, this is just a bit of FUN!!!! :D It also shows that it is more fun to not be too precious about paintings or getting upset when they go wrong.

  1. Cathy,
This made me smile, thanks. Have really enjoyed looking through your work. Good luck with the rest of the project. Still marvel at the beautiful drawing you did of my girl every time I look at it.

  2. Hi Faye, glad it brought a smile to your face. Do keep watching the blog, I am not sure yet if I am going to actually stop on the 100 days or not, I might just continue for as long as I can (depends how tired I am at the 100th day! Are you on Facebook, if you are, I am too where there are lots of pictures. :D
