So, after a long break from art, I was inspired to do something new after a week spent on the beautiful Uist Islands. I collected some washed up seaweed from the beaches, bagged it and brought it all home. Once home, washed it, flattened it between kitchen paper and put some heavy books on top. After a few days I got some heavy Watercolour paper and arranged the weeds onto it. They are still pressing and finishing drying but I think that some of the weeds will need some botanical glue to stick them down to the paper. Soon I hope to frame them and have them up on the wall!
